Then add the rice, walnuts, garlic, and dried mint and mix again.
Heat the oil in a pot, add the onion and fry for about 6-7 minutes.
Add the yogurt mixture to the onions and cook over medium heat, stirring continuously with a wooden spoon, for about 20 minutes or until the rice is tender.
Remove from heat, add salt and pepper to taste, and mix.
Serve hot.
